The only suprise of pre-season testing is if Mercedes can manage to shovel all that sand out of the F1W12 before the 26th of March...!

I understand what he means with a shorter season being worth less, but i think i disagree. A short season poses completely new challenges and could be difficult enough by far. It's more intense, leaving the drivers to not be able to settle in for a season rhythm. Each point is worth more since there are less of them which means you have to do good every race. The long off season also poses its problem. Who has been training constantly and who has not. Who has been staying on top of their game? 2020 championship is valid

Yes! Merc won a very deserving victory. Their machine is the best the sport has ever seen, and it has been the entire hybrid era. Not only that, but their strategy was brilliant, and the double stack this weekend was a masterclass! Pure excellence! There is only one downside to their brilliance: It creates the most boring races in history. I love F1 and have not missed one race weekend for over 5 years, but lately, I find my self on the phone, or even fast asleep. Watching Lewis win without any challenge is dreadfully boring - I don't bother to watch the podium ceremony if there is not an unusual face there anymore. Even perfection becomes mundane if it is too much of it, and although I was very hyped pre-season, I feel it is quickly washing away...
